Pakistan’s government is on a mission to improve health and education infrastructure with all urgency, and it is FRAMECAD technology that is helping them meet tight construction deadlines on schools and hospitals -- three times faster than they were four years ago.
“PEBI specialise in schools and hospitals, mainly two storey, and using our system helps them to produce quickly in order to deliver on tight government schedules,” says Henry Haddad, Sales Development Manager at FRAMECAD International FZE.
Sonia Saleem, executive director of the SE Group, believes that FRAMECAD has been a key factor in winning government tenders. “It is very new technology to Pakistan but people are seeing the results and it is certainly much quicker – from our experience, three times faster than normal construction. The manufacturing is so precise and wastage is minimal compared to other systems.”
Sonia says that FRAMECAD was chosen over other alternatives because “it was a complete solution that included design software, highly efficient machines, material supply, after sales services and support.”
Switching from the basic roll formers they were previously using to the new high tech FRAMECAD system was relatively straightforward, says Sonia. “It was simple. FRAMECAD training provides comprehensive knowledge about technology and designing, and we have very close contact with the team in Dubai.”
“Close collaboration with an international technology provider and technical support are very important for us. With FRAMECAD, after sales service has been very good. We have been getting a lot of support from them and they are helping us a lot. Other companies here would just sell you the machine and that’s it – there’s no support.”
The construction market in Algeria is not too dissimilar to anywhere else in the world; speed of construction, cost of labour, and materials play heavily into who is awarded contracts for new projects. A recent project was awarded to Pre-Engineered Building and Panel specialists Système Pannaux Sandwich (SPS) to construct two 315m2 pre-engineered commercial warehouses.
When it comes to designing, prefabricating, and delivering cold formed steel(CFS) wall frames, roof trusses, floor joists, panels and more, Dynamic Steel Frame is an innovative cold formed steel framing company that utilise the automated construction technology system from FRAMECAD. So, perhaps it’s no surprise then that they took on the single largest CFS flooring cassette project ever completed
For multi-level buildings, it’s becoming increasingly obvious that timber, concrete, and hot-rolled steel aren’t always the best options – especially when it comes to the top floor. That’s why so many developers are now looking for ways to save on time, labour, and costs during the construction process.
All 422 load-bearing wall panels for levels three through seven of this 7-story (five levels on two levels of podium) project was fabricated at Douglass Colony's headquarters in Commerce City using FRAMECAD and shipped directly to the jobsite where the building was erected in a total of 40 working days, including all wall panels, flooring systems, and detailing with concrete poured and cured.
